Catherine's roomie from Stellenbosch (HTB), Lindsay, hosted us for a weekend in Devon. We stayed in the Barracks with them.....Nick (her fiance) is serving in one of the troops in the squadron in Tiverton. It was great to catch-up with them and see how they are loving life in Devon....Nick arranged some amazing steak and we tried some of the infamous Devonshire cream tea.....I would recomend it!!

Catherine and I have started making a habit of going to Starbucks during our lunch break.....it's just such a great way to pull out of the rush of the day. I find it funny how even Starbucks is jumping on the Christmas wagon 2 months before Christmas, which means their Brand team probably start designing for Christmas about 3 months beforehand. Anyway.....it's a nice place to sit back and forget about the rush outside.

Time crash
During our trip to the Isle of Wight I had an unfortunate mishap.....and the picture above describes the consequences to my poor watch. I really liked the thing, but luckely you can find anything in London. I found a near exact replacement for it the 1st day back in London accross the road from where I work. Lorus Sport....I would recomend it anyday.

Victors!!
A very special day.....I can still remember back in 1995 in our lounge with my close family. This time around I shared it in a British pub in London with a whole crowd of South Africans. About 50-50 British to South Africans in the pub. It really means a lot to so many people to succeed as a country in something we feel so passionately about. I savoured every moment of it...
Tranquile
Live can sometimes be a bit frantic in London, so it's special when you get to break away from everything. This is our forrest (Epping forrest), about 10 minutes walk from our flat. It has a nice lake where they rent little rowing boats. Catherine and I love to laugh and enjoy life while rowing up and down this calming part of nature.
Dedication
Marlyn and Evan are members of our Church in London. This cute little baby, Zoe, is being dedicated before God. Marlyn and Evan is essentially promising God that they will do everything in their strength to care for her and teach her everything she needs to have a relationship with Him. It's a beautiful moment and an opertunity to reflect on what this means to Zoe and her parents.
Borough Market
My parent's (specifically my dad) has been in London so frequent during our stay here that he's almost made it feel like home....not quite, but at least we get to catch up every once in a while. This photo is taken at the Borough Market next to London Bridge station. It's always special seeing them and sharing some of the interesting spots of London with them.

Burnham
Uncle Bruce and Auntie Joan's place in Burnham, just West of London. It is really a gem of a place. The Park Weir's are very hospitable and always make us feel at home.
